Files used by the “Load Game” menu
The “Load Game” menu in games like Minecraft uses several file types to store game data. Save files for your character must match the name of the folder you want to save it to. Files 3 and 4 are backups made by the “Load Game” menu

File 5 is a manual save

If you want to save the game quickly, you can choose to save it to a manual save file.
Another option to save game progress is by auto-saving. This function saves your game progress when you reach a new checkpoint. Similarly, when you pause the game, you can use the option to save your game manually. After saving, you can load the manual save file from the main menu or by pausing the game.
File 8 is a manual save
Using the save function on your gaming system allows you to load the previous save points without having to restart the game. Saves are stored in a file called “Save”.
